Coffee Mornings
Coffee mornings are back at Stone station! It's going to be Coffee plain and simple. Call in for a coffee, a chat and catch up with the latest U3A news.Meet from 10am till 12 noon at Stone Station the last Friday of every month. Three sessions have been arranged so far:

Do YOU want to know more about the Internet, emailing, downloading photographs, Banking & Buying on line etc???
Commencing in October our U3A will be starting a new group to help members to improve their computer skills. All the courses will be held at Hilderstone Village Hall as they have a dedicated Broadband Link.
Everyone has to register first and on the basis of first come first served and, if demand increases, then additional courses will be offered after Christmas. Cost will be £2 per session.
Do come to the Registration Afternoon on Tuesday 14 September from 2.00 – 4.00 pm in Hilderstone Village Hall so that we can identify the skills and issues that our members require assistance on in using a computer. Come along to the registration afternoon to find out more.
Beginners: The first course will be for six weeks and will be open to members who want to access the Internet i.e. first time users only. (You may not have bought a computer yet!) The size of each class is limited to 12 members using 6 laptops. It is planned the first class will start Tuesday 12th October 2010 from 2.00 - 4.00pm.

The U3A Badminton group are looking for new members when the new season starts in September. In an attempt to encourage new members John will be running a beginners to intermediate class on a separate court or two depending on numbers. Courts for the more experienced players will continue as normal.

Play Reading and Interpretation
Light and humorous plays will be used. We would also visit local amateur productions.and intend to meet in Stone (to be arranged if sufficient interest).

Reading Shakespeare
Is Shakespeare perhaps a pearl your eye never found, a treasure too deep to fathom? Or perhaps you already know him somewhat as he is, where he's been, accept what he has become, and still (even now) can gently allow him to grow on you? Try this! We will take hold of a Shakespeare play, one scene at a time, ask, what on earth, in the sea and the heavens it could mean (to me, my world, this life)? Working on the sense that Shakespeare Has nothing of him that doth fade, But doth suffer a sea-change, Into something rich and strange, we will try to enter into the mystery of the plays as much as their sense. Up for it?

StoneAgers will have a summer break until Friday 17th September, 2pm-3.30pm. The last singing practice before the summer break will be July 23rd at WCC porta-cabin as usual.
