The memorial commemorates men of the Parish of Weston on Trent who died in the service of their country in both World Wars. It also commemorates men of the parish who served in World War 1. It stands on the edge of the village green, having been moved from its original site on the corner of Stafford Road and Old Road.
There are four panels:

The first panel reads:
This memorial was unveiled on May 24th 1923 by General Sir Walter Congreave V.C. K.C.B. M.V.O. of Chartley Castle
The second panel reads:
In memory of the men from this parish who laid down their lives during the Great War 1914-1918
